Whala!Boca Chica is the value all-inclusive a block back from the bay, used by travellers who want the calm swimming water of Boca Chica without resort prices. The drive from La Romana airport takes seventy to ninety minutes, almost all of it on the Autovía del Este, with the final few minutes inside town. The hotel entrance is on a side street rather than the beachfront, so we bring the car to reception — with luggage, that difference is worth more than it sounds. Groups often split here between Boca Chica and Juan Dolio; if your party is staying at two hotels we can do both drops on one booking instead of two vehicles.

How the pickup works

70–90 min in normal traffic. The same highway run west from LRM, with the hotel a short walk back from the Boca Chica beach. The car is yours alone, so there are no other pickups or hotel stops on the way.
Where does the driver meet us at Whala!Boca Chica?
In the LRM arrivals hall with a name sign, then west to Boca Chica, with the driver stopping at the Whala!Boca Chica reception door rather than on the beach road.
Is this hotel close to La Romana airport?
Not especially — it is 70–90 min from LRM, out along the eastern coast rather than in the La Romana and Bayahibe cluster. The run is perfectly comfortable in a private car, but it is a long drive, so we dispatch earlier, carry water and build in a comfort stop if you want one. Your vehicle goes straight to Whala!Boca Chica with no other pickups.
Is this the same price as Bayahibe?
No — Boca Chica is $95 Standard and $160 VIP one-way per vehicle, while Bayahibe hotels are $40 Standard and $79 VIP. Boca Chica is farther from the airport than Bayahibe, so the rate is $95 / $160, not $40 / $79. If your booking is actually at a Bayahibe resort, tell us the property name on WhatsApp and we quote the Bayahibe rate instead.
Can two families be dropped at different Boca Chica hotels?
Yes, if you travel together in one vehicle. We add the second stop to the booking at no extra charge when the hotels are within the same town; tell us both names and the order you want them.
