Where Miches actually is

Miches sits on the Bahía de Samaná coast, on the far side of the island from La Romana. The road runs inland through Higüey, north past the Uvero Alto turn, then climbs and swings west along the coast to Playa Esmeralda and Miches town. On a clear morning that is two and a half hours; on a wet afternoon, or behind a truck on the climb with nowhere to pass, it is three. The rate covers the Playa Esmeralda resort cluster, the smaller hotels in and around town and the villas on the coast road, as long as a car can reach the address. There is no taxi supply and no ride-hailing at the far end, so this run is planned in advance or it does not happen. Send the property name and we confirm the vehicle and the price in writing before you fly.

How the Miches pickup runs

3. 3After the bags and the customs check at LRM, walk out of the arrivals door and look for your name on the sign.

Resorts drop at the lobby entrance where the bellman meets the car. Villas and small hotels on the coast road often have no street number, so send a pin or the owner's contact and we agree the meeting point before the driver leaves La Romana.

7–14 passengers ride in a passenger van: +$20 on Standard, +$40 on VIP for this zone. Golf bags, strollers, wheelchairs and surf gear are fine — give us the luggage count and we send the right vehicle instead of guessing at the curb.
