Bayahibe village and the pier, not the Dominicus strip

Bayahibe is the old fishing village on the bay: a small grid of streets behind the waterfront, the dive shops, the guest houses and small hotels, and the public pier where most Saona and Catalina island boats load. This rate covers all of it, plus the village-side hotels on the approach road. The resort strip south of the village — Dreams Dominicus, Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus, Viva Dominicus and their neighbours — is on the Dominicus beach road and is priced as its own zone, a few minutes further on. If you are not sure which side your booking is on, send us the property name and we tell you before you pay anything.

How the Bayahibe pickup runs

1. 1Send the hotel, apartment address or boat operator with your flight number, date and party size.
2. 2We reply with the written price and, for an island boat, a pickup time that fits the boarding.
3. 3After the bags and the customs check, walk out of the single arrivals door and look for the sign with your name.
4. 4Direct 25–35 minute drive to the village, your hotel or the pier. No shared stops.

Hotels drop at reception. Village streets are narrow and partly cobbled, so for a guest house or apartment we stop at the closest point a car can reach and the driver carries the bags the rest of the way. Boat passengers drop at the pier car park by the ticket booths.

Bigger groups

7–14 passengers ride in a passenger van: +$20 on Standard, +$40 on VIP for this zone. Golf bags, strollers, wheelchairs and surf gear are fine — give us the luggage count and we send the right vehicle instead of guessing at the curb.
