Where Bayahibe pier sits and where we stop

Almost every Saona Island and Catalina Island boat leaves from the pier in Bayahibe harbour, and plenty of travellers go straight there from the airport — a morning flight into LRM can still make an afternoon crossing. The drive is twenty-five to thirty-five minutes. Boats leave on their own schedule and do not wait, so we build the pickup around the departure time rather than the landing time and track the flight in case it slips. Luggage is the practical question: if you are heading to the pier before check-in, tell us and we either keep the cases in the vehicle for the day or run them on to your hotel, which is usually simpler than carrying them onto a catamaran.

How the pickup works

1. 1Send your flight number, date and party size on WhatsApp — we confirm the price in writing.
2. 2We track the flight, so a delay or an early landing does not change anything.
3. 3Your driver waits in the LRM arrivals hall with a name sign, just past customs.
4. 4Direct 25–35 minute drive east to Bayahibe harbour, stopping at the pier your operator uses.

Bigger groups and luggage

Up to six passengers ride in one Standard vehicle at $40. For 7–14 passengers we send a passenger van: +$20 on Standard, +$40 on VIP. Send the luggage count with the booking — golf bags, strollers and car seats are all fine, we just size the vehicle before the day instead of at the curb.
