We plan a pickup two and a half hours before the flight. That covers the 25 to 35 minute drive, the checkout queue, and the part travellers forget: La Romana's terminal is small, so when two charters depart in the same window the check-in and security lines are the bottleneck, not the road. Guests coming back from a morning Saona trip should tell us the boat's return time as well as the flight — we would rather set the pickup around both than hope the boat is punctual.

Resort gate and lobby pickup

The driver arrives before the agreed time and waits at the hotel entrance with your name. In the village itself, where the streets are narrow and partly cobbled, we agree a meeting point a car can actually reach and the driver walks up for the bags.
