La Romana airport transfer FAQ

The questions our dispatcher answers every day, with the same numbers we quote on WhatsApp. Every price is per vehicle, one-way, taxes included, for 1–6 passengers.

Does Uber work at La Romana Airport (LRM)?
App pickups do not work at LRM. Ground transport at the terminal belongs to the licensed concession, and the ride-hailing pool in La Romana province is thin to non-existent, so a request after customs either goes unanswered or ends in a walk off airport property with your luggage. That is why arriving travellers pre-book a private car: the driver stands inside arrivals with a name sign and the price is agreed before you land. Uber at LRM — what actually works
How much is a transfer from LRM to Bayahibe?
Bayahibe is $40 Standard and $79 VIP, one-way, per vehicle, taxes included, for 1–6 passengers. The drive is 25–35 min from the terminal. A 7–14 passenger van adds $20 Standard or $40 VIP. The rate covers the village, the pier and the Bayahibe hotels, and it does not change for a night arrival. LRM to Bayahibe
How much is a transfer from LRM to Casa de Campo?
Casa de Campo is $29 Standard and $65 VIP one-way per vehicle, the shortest resort run we do at 10–20 min. The price includes the gated-community access at the Casa de Campo checkpoint, taxes and waiting time while you clear baggage. Villas inside the resort, the Marina and Altos de Chavón are the same rate — send the villa number on WhatsApp. LRM to Casa de Campo
How much is a transfer from LRM to Dreams Dominicus?
Dreams Dominicus La Romana sits in the Dominicus belt, just past Bayahibe: $45 Standard and $85 VIP one-way per vehicle, 30–40 min from LRM. The driver drops at the main reception and the same rate applies to the departure leg. LRM to Dreams Dominicus
How much is a transfer from LRM to Hilton La Romana?
Hilton La Romana is a Dominicus-beach address, not a La Romana town one: $45 Standard and $85 VIP one-way per vehicle, 30–40 min from arrivals. The rate is per car, not per person, so a family of four pays the same $45 as a solo traveller. Larger groups move to a van at $65 Standard. LRM to Hilton La Romana
How much is a transfer from LRM to Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus?
Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus is in the Dominicus resort strip: $45 Standard and $85 VIP one-way per vehicle, 30–40 min from LRM. It is a longer run than Bayahibe village by a few minutes, and the last stretch is a quiet local road — one reason we send a driver who runs it weekly rather than a phone map. LRM to Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus
Is the price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle, always. One price covers the whole car, one-way, taxes included, for 1–6 passengers with luggage. Groups of 7–14 move to a van, which adds $20 Standard or $40 VIP on local zones. Nothing is charged per head, per bag or per child seat, and the figure written on WhatsApp is the figure the driver collects. Full price list
What happens if my flight is late?
We track the flight number you send, so the driver leaves the base against the actual landing time, not the schedule. A two-hour delay or a diversion costs nothing extra and there is no waiting fee while you clear immigration and baggage. If the flight is cancelled outright, tell us on WhatsApp and we move the booking to the new arrival. How pickup works
Do you provide car seats for children?
Yes, at no extra cost. Tell us the child's age and weight when you book and the dispatcher assigns a vehicle with the right infant seat or booster fitted before it leaves the base. Two seats in one car is fine. Because seats are fitted in advance rather than kept at the curb, we need the request on WhatsApp, not on arrival. Families and car seats
Where exactly does the driver meet me at LRM?
Inside the arrivals area after baggage claim and customs, holding a printed sign with your name. LRM is a small, single-hall airport, so there is nothing to hunt for — no curb lane, no parking level, no phone call. Plan 15–30 minutes from wheels-down to the arrivals door; the driver is already there and waiting is included in the fixed price. How pickup works
Do you sell shared shuttles?
No. We run private vehicles only — your booking, your car, no other passengers and no hotel-to-hotel loop. Shared rides can be cheaper for a solo traveller, but they punish families, late arrivals and anyone heading past Bayahibe, where one extra stop can add 45 minutes. If you want shared, we are not the right operator. Shared shuttle vs private
How do I pay, and do I have to prepay?
No prepay is required to hold a booking. You pay the driver at the end of the ride in US dollars or Dominican pesos, or you can settle by bank transfer beforehand if your company needs an invoice. The amount is written on WhatsApp before the trip and does not change at the car door. How to pay your transfer
What time should the driver collect me for my departure flight?
Operator advice: La Romana and Casa de Campo 2 hours before departure, Bayahibe and Dominicus 2.5 hours, Higüey and Juan Dolio 3 hours, Cap Cana 3.5, Bávaro 4. LRM is small but it runs a single security line, and the buffers also absorb the resort gate and the quiet two-lane stretches on the Bayahibe road. We confirm the exact pickup time the day before by WhatsApp. Transfer times by zone
Can the car get through the Casa de Campo gate?
Yes. Our vehicles are registered for Casa de Campo access, so the checkpoint stop is a formality — the guard needs your name and the villa or hotel you are staying at. Give us the exact property when booking so the driver has it ready. There is no gate surcharge; the fixed Casa de Campo rate covers it. LRM to Casa de Campo
Is there a round-trip discount?
Yes — book both legs together and the return is 5% off, so a Bayahibe round trip is $76 Standard instead of $80. The same dispatch desk handles the departure pickup and confirms the time the day before. If your plans are not fixed yet, book the arrival now and add the return later at the same rate. How much is the transfer to La Romana town or the cruise port?
La Romana is $25 Standard and $59 VIP one-way per vehicle, 10–15 min from the terminal — the shortest run on the list. The same rate covers the cruise port at Bahía de La Romana, which is useful if you are flying in to join or leave a ship. LRM to La Romana cruise port
Is there a night surcharge for a late landing?
No. A 23:30 arrival pays the same fixed rate as a midday one. The driver is inside arrivals with your name sign whenever the flight lands, and we track the flight number so a diversion or a three-hour delay changes nothing on the price. Night arrivals at LRM
How far is Higüey, and what does it cost?
Higüey is $70 Standard and $120 VIP one-way per vehicle, 45–60 min from LRM — an inland run to the Basílica and the town, not a beach zone. For departures we leave the lobby 3 hours before the flight. LRM to Higüey
SDQ airport or Santo Domingo city — which page do I book?
Both are $110 Standard / $180 VIP and take 1 h 45 – 2 h, but they are different drops. SDQ is the airport-to-airport run to Las Américas for a connecting flight; the city route ends at a Zona Colonial, Malecón or business hotel. Tell us which one and the driver plans the entrance accordingly. LRM to SDQ airport
Do you drive to Punta Cana and Bávaro from LRM?
Yes — plenty of LRM arrivals are heading east. Bávaro is $115 Standard and $180 VIP one-way per vehicle, 1 h 35 – 1 h 55, and Cap Cana, Punta Cana Village, Macao and Uvero Alto are all on the price list. Airport-to-airport runs between LRM and PUJ are quoted the same way. LRM to Bávaro
