For Playa Esmeralda and Miches we plan a lobby pickup about five hours before your flight. That is not an airline rule, it is what the road demands: the coast stretch and the run back through Higüey behave very differently at 6 a.m. and at 3 p.m., and a single truck on the climb can add twenty minutes with nowhere to pass. On top of the drive you still need resort checkout, the airline counter and security at La Romana, which bunch up around the mid-morning charter wave. Groups of six or more, or anyone flying on a Saturday changeover, get the upper end of that window. Send the flight number when you book and we confirm the exact pickup time in writing the day before.

The driver arrives before the agreed time and waits at the main lobby entrance with your name. For villas and small hotels on the coast road we agree a visible meeting point in advance — a gate, a reception or a pinned location — because addresses out here are not reliable.

Luggage and bigger groups

Suitcases, strollers, golf bags and dive gear are all fine; tell us the luggage count with the booking so the right vehicle turns up. On a three-hour road out of Miches nobody wants to travel with a case on their knees, so we size the car properly instead of squeezing.

Night and early-morning departures

Pre-dawn departures are normal here and cost the same as a midday run. For a 9 a.m. flight that usually means a 4 a.m. lobby pickup; we confirm it on WhatsApp the evening before so nobody is guessing in a dark lobby.
