From La Romana the drive is one hour fifty-five to two hours fifteen on paved main road. Families making this run usually want two things confirmed before they fly: car seats, which we fit free of charge if the ages are on the booking, and a supermarket stop, which we can plan on the Higüey stretch. The resort has one gated entrance and a single reception, so the arrival itself is simple — the driver pulls into the covered drop-off and the bell desk takes the luggage.
