Where Dominicus sits and how access works

Dominicus sits just past Bayahibe, 30 to 40 minutes from LRM, and the rentals here are mostly inside Dominicus Americanus — a large residential area of private villas, small condo blocks and apartment complexes laid out behind the beach and the big resorts. Some entrances have a guard who works from an owner's list; others are open street addresses where the villa number on the wall is the only marker. Either way the address is the whole job: send the community or building name, the villa or unit number, and any gate code or written instruction your host gave you, and we put it on the driver's sheet before the day. If your arrival lands after dark, tell us who is meeting you with the key — we would rather wait with you at the door than leave a family at a gate at midnight.

How the pickup works

What we need from you

A villa or apartment is not a hotel lobby, so four details make the difference between a smooth arrival and a slow one:

• The community name exactly as your host writes it.
• The house, villa or apartment number.
• Any gate instruction, guard-list name or access code your host gave you.
• Whether the final lane is car-accessible or golf-cart only.
