Where Live Aqua sits and where we stop

Live Aqua is an adults-only resort on the Uvero Alto stretch, far enough north that the coast road empties out and the last twenty minutes are genuinely rural. That remoteness is the appeal, and it is also why a pre-booked private car matters more here than anywhere else: there is no taxi rank worth the name outside, and shuttle routes to Uvero Alto stop at several hotels first. From La Romana the drive is two hours ten to two hours thirty-five. We send a comfortable vehicle with air conditioning and cold water for this run, the price is fixed in writing per vehicle, and the driver waits however long the flight takes to land.
