The two check-ins are separate and the one you want is the second gate, which the driver confirms before pulling in. The drive from La Romana airport is two hours ten to two hours thirty-five through Higüey and then north-east along the coast. For a resort this far out, plan the return generously: we collect three hours before an international departure from LRM and confirm the pickup time in writing with the booking, so nobody is guessing on the last morning.
