Where Dreams Onyx sits and where we stop

Dreams Onyx sits on the Uvero Alto beach, a family resort on a stretch of coast with far fewer hotels than Bávaro and a beach that stays quiet even in high season. The trade-off is distance: from La Romana airport it is two hours ten to two hours thirty-five. We plan that properly rather than pretending it is short — car seats fitted in advance, cold water, and an agreed stop if the children need one. The resort entrance is a single gated drive off the Uvero Alto road with reception straight ahead, and the driver stays until the bags are with the bell desk. The same fixed price covers the return to LRM if you book both legs.
