Riu Republica is the adults-only Riu at Arena Gorda, inside a complex that also holds Riu Palace Macao, Riu Palace Bavaro and Riu Bambu along the same internal road. Because the Riu hotels look alike from the driveway, the booking needs the exact name; the guard post at the entrance checks it and the driver continues to the right lobby. The drive from La Romana is one hour forty-five to two hours five.
