Where Altos de Chavón sits and where we stop
Altos de Chavón is the replica sixteenth-century village built above the Chavón river inside Casa de Campo, with the amphitheatre, the church of St Stanislaus, the art school and a handful of restaurants. Weddings and concerts bring people straight from the airport, which is why we run it as its own drop-off: the village is a fifteen to twenty-five minute drive from LRM, and the last part is a climb on an internal estate road that ends at a pedestrian entrance — cars stop below the cobbles. If you are arriving for a ceremony in formal clothes, say so when you book and we time the pickup so you are not waiting in the sun, and we can hold the vehicle for the return down to the hotel or the marina afterwards.
