Where Catalonia Royal Bávaro sits and where we stop

Catalonia Royal Bávaro is the adults-only half of the Catalonia complex at Cabeza de Toro, sharing an access road and a security post with Catalonia Bávaro next door. Guests are dropped at the wrong reception often enough that it is the first thing we confirm: the Royal has its own lobby past the family hotel, and adults-only check-in will not process a booking held at the sister property. From La Romana the drive is one hour thirty to one hour forty-five, out through Higüey and along the coast road. The price is the Cabeza de Toro zone rate, fixed in writing, and it covers the whole vehicle for up to six passengers rather than a per-seat fare.

How the pickup works

  1. 1Send your flight number, date and party size on WhatsApp — we confirm the price in writing.
  2. 2We track the flight, so a delay or an early landing does not change anything.
  3. 3Your driver waits in the LRM arrivals hall with a name sign, just past customs.
  4. 4Direct 1 h 30 – 1 h 45 drive east to the Catalonia Royal Bávaro adults-only lobby at Cabeza de Toro.

Bigger groups and luggage

Up to six passengers ride in one Standard vehicle at $110. For 7–14 passengers we send a passenger van: +$20 on Standard, +$40 on VIP. Send the luggage count with the booking — golf bags, strollers and car seats are all fine, we just size the vehicle before the day instead of at the curb.

LRM to Catalonia Royal Bávaro — quick answers

Is the $110 price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle. $110 Standard covers 1–6 passengers with luggage in one private car, taxes and tolls included — the same figure whether you are two people or six. VIP is $175 for the same group in a luxury SUV or executive van. Groups of 7–14 move to a passenger van: +$20 on Standard, +$40 on VIP.
How long is the drive from LRM to Catalonia Royal Bávaro?
1 h 30 – 1 h 45 in normal traffic. One hour thirty to one hour forty-five east from LRM, ending on the Cabeza de Toro beach road shared with the Catalonia complex. The car is yours alone, so there are no other pickups or hotel stops on the way.
Where does the driver meet us at Catalonia Royal Bávaro?
In the LRM arrivals hall with a name sign, then east to Cabeza de Toro. The driver passes the family hotel and stops at the Catalonia Royal adults-only reception.
Is this hotel close to La Romana airport?
Not especially — it is 1 h 30 – 1 h 45 from LRM, out along the eastern coast rather than in the La Romana and Bayahibe cluster. The run is perfectly comfortable in a private car, but it is a long drive, so we dispatch earlier, carry water and build in a comfort stop if you want one. Your vehicle goes straight to Catalonia Royal Bávaro with no other pickups.
Is this the same price as Bayahibe?
No — Cabeza de Toro is $110 Standard and $175 VIP one-way per vehicle, while Bayahibe hotels are $40 Standard and $79 VIP. Cabeza de Toro is farther from the airport than Bayahibe, so the rate is $110 / $175, not $40 / $79. If your booking is actually at a Bayahibe resort, tell us the property name on WhatsApp and we quote the Bayahibe rate instead.
How is Cabeza de Toro different from Bávaro for the drive?
Cabeza de Toro is the quieter stretch between Punta Cana and Bávaro, reached before the main strip, so it is a slightly shorter run from La Romana and a slightly lower zone price. The route is the same until the coast road.
