- Is the $125 price per person or per vehicle?
- Per vehicle. $125 Standard covers 1–6 passengers with luggage in one private car, taxes and tolls included — the same figure whether you are two people or six. VIP is $190 for the same group in a luxury SUV or executive van. Groups of 7–14 move to a passenger van: +$20 on Standard, +$40 on VIP.
- How long is the drive from LRM to Riu Palace Bavaro?
- 1 h 45 – 2 h 05 in normal traffic. Riu Palace Bavaro is on Arena Gorda beach. It is a separate hotel from Riu Palace Punta Cana and Riu Palace Macao, although the names can look similar on a booking document. Select Palace Bavaro in full so the driver reaches the intended RIU reception rather than another property in the area. The car is yours alone, so there are no other pickups or hotel stops on the way.
- Where does the driver meet us at Riu Palace Bavaro?
- Your driver meets you after baggage collection at La Romana airport with a name sign. For the return journey, we confirm the hotel's collection point and pickup time using your departure flight date and number. Send any reception instructions supplied by the hotel before you travel.
- Is this hotel close to La Romana airport?
- Not especially — it is 1 h 45 – 2 h 05 from LRM, out along the eastern coast rather than in the La Romana and Bayahibe cluster. The run is perfectly comfortable in a private car, but it is a long drive, so we dispatch earlier, carry water and build in a comfort stop if you want one. Your vehicle goes straight to Riu Palace Bavaro with no other pickups.
- Is this the same price as Bayahibe?
- No — Arena Gorda is $125 Standard and $190 VIP one-way per vehicle, while Bayahibe hotels are $40 Standard and $79 VIP. Arena Gorda is farther from the airport than Bayahibe, so the rate is $125 / $190, not $40 / $79. If your booking is actually at a Bayahibe resort, tell us the property name on WhatsApp and we quote the Bayahibe rate instead.
- Does Palace Bavaro use the Macao transfer zone?
- No. Riu Palace Bavaro uses Arena Gorda. Riu Palace Macao is also in our Arena Gorda zone, but it is a separate destination; the name Macao does not move either hotel into the Macao beach tariff.
