Occidental Caribe is on Arena Gorda Beach and formerly used the Barceló Punta Cana name. It is not Occidental Punta Cana in Bávaro, despite the similar brand names. Select Occidental Caribe for our Arena Gorda fare and send the full hotel name on your reservation. Do not use an abbreviated Occidental or Barceló request to choose the destination. Your private transfer starts at La Romana International Airport (LRM). Send the flight number, arrival date, passenger count and luggage details; we confirm the destination and total price in writing. The published journey time is an estimate for normal traffic and excludes immigration and baggage collection. For a round trip, include the return flight date and number so we can agree the hotel pickup time before departure.

Is this hotel close to La Romana airport?
Not especially — it is 1 h 45 – 2 h 05 from LRM, out along the eastern coast rather than in the La Romana and Bayahibe cluster. The run is perfectly comfortable in a private car, but it is a long drive, so we dispatch earlier, carry water and build in a comfort stop if you want one. Your vehicle goes straight to Occidental Caribe with no other pickups.
Is this the same price as Bayahibe?
No — Arena Gorda is $125 Standard and $190 VIP one-way per vehicle, while Bayahibe hotels are $40 Standard and $79 VIP. Arena Gorda is farther from the airport than Bayahibe, so the rate is $125 / $190, not $40 / $79. If your booking is actually at a Bayahibe resort, tell us the property name on WhatsApp and we quote the Bayahibe rate instead.
Is Occidental Caribe the same hotel as Occidental Punta Cana?
No. Occidental Caribe is in our Arena Gorda zone; Occidental Punta Cana is in our Bávaro zone. Older Barceló Punta Cana bookings refer to Occidental Caribe, not Barceló Bávaro Palace. Include the complete reservation name to avoid the wrong reception and fare.
