Where Bahia Principe Escape Ambar sits and where we stop

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar is the current name of the adults-only resort formerly called Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar. The official address places it in Arena Gorda, so the Macao wording in the postal address does not change our Arena Gorda transfer zone. Keep Ambar in your request: Bahia Principe operates several neighbouring hotels, each requiring the correct reception destination. Your private transfer starts at La Romana International Airport (LRM). Send the flight number, arrival date, passenger count and luggage details; we confirm the destination and total price in writing. The published journey time is an estimate for normal traffic and excludes immigration and baggage collection. For a round trip, include the return flight date and number so we can agree the hotel pickup time before departure.

How the pickup works

  1. 1Select your hotel and send your arrival date, flight number, passenger count and luggage details.
  2. 2Receive written confirmation of the destination, vehicle and total transfer price.
  3. 3Meet your driver after baggage collection at LRM with a sign bearing your name.
  4. 4Travel directly to the confirmed hotel reception; additional stops must be agreed when booking.

Bigger groups and luggage

Up to six passengers ride in one Standard vehicle at $125. For 7–14 passengers we send a passenger van: +$20 on Standard, +$40 on VIP. Send the luggage count with the booking — golf bags, strollers and car seats are all fine, we just size the vehicle before the day instead of at the curb.

LRM to Bahia Principe Escape Ambar — quick answers

Is the $125 price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle. $125 Standard covers 1–6 passengers with luggage in one private car, taxes and tolls included — the same figure whether you are two people or six. VIP is $190 for the same group in a luxury SUV or executive van. Groups of 7–14 move to a passenger van: +$20 on Standard, +$40 on VIP.
How long is the drive from LRM to Bahia Principe Escape Ambar?
1 h 45 – 2 h 05 in normal traffic. The car is yours alone, so there are no other pickups or hotel stops on the way.
Where does the driver meet us at Bahia Principe Escape Ambar?
Your driver meets you after baggage collection at La Romana airport with a name sign. For the return journey, we confirm the hotel's collection point and pickup time using your departure flight date and number. Send any reception instructions supplied by the hotel before you travel.
Is this hotel close to La Romana airport?
Not especially — it is 1 h 45 – 2 h 05 from LRM, out along the eastern coast rather than in the La Romana and Bayahibe cluster. The run is perfectly comfortable in a private car, but it is a long drive, so we dispatch earlier, carry water and build in a comfort stop if you want one. Your vehicle goes straight to Bahia Principe Escape Ambar with no other pickups.
Is this the same price as Bayahibe?
No — Arena Gorda is $125 Standard and $190 VIP one-way per vehicle, while Bayahibe hotels are $40 Standard and $79 VIP. Arena Gorda is farther from the airport than Bayahibe, so the rate is $125 / $190, not $40 / $79. If your booking is actually at a Bayahibe resort, tell us the property name on WhatsApp and we quote the Bayahibe rate instead.
Will a reservation showing the former Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar name still identify this hotel?
Yes. The former Luxury Ambar name remains a search alias for Bahia Principe Escape Ambar. We confirm Ambar and the current accommodation details before arranging the transfer; another Bahia Principe hotel is not assumed to be the same destination.
