Which part of the capital we drop in

The rate covers the city as travellers actually use it: the Zona Colonial hotels around Calle Las Damas and Plaza España, the Malecón strip along George Washington, Piantini and Naco apartments, Bella Vista, Gazcue and the Agora area. The highway part of the drive is steady; what varies is the last twenty minutes, because entering the capital between 16:00 and 19:00 on a weekday is slower than everything before it. We build that into the timing instead of pretending it away. The Colonial Zone deserves one warning: several streets are pedestrian or one-way cobblestone, so the driver uses the nearest legal stop and walks your bags to the door rather than circling. Send the hotel name or a pin and we agree the drop point before the car leaves La Romana.

How the Santo Domingo city pickup runs

  1. 1Send the city address or hotel name with your flight number, date and party size.
  2. 2We reply with the written price and a pickup time that accounts for city traffic.
  3. 3After the bags and the customs check at LRM, walk out of the arrivals door and look for your name on the sign.
  4. 4One direct drive of about two hours, comfort stop if you want it, drop at your door.

Hotels, villas and drop-off points

Zona Colonial boutique hotels, the Malecón chains, Piantini and Naco apartments and city rentals all use this rate. Give us the address and we confirm the entrance in writing.

City hotels drop at the entrance. In the Zona Colonial we use the closest legal stop to your door — the streets there are narrow, cobbled and partly pedestrian — and the driver carries the bags the last few metres.

Bigger groups

7–14 passengers ride in a passenger van: +$20 on Standard, +$40 on VIP for this zone. Golf bags, strollers, wheelchairs and surf gear are fine — give us the luggage count and we send the right vehicle instead of guessing at the curb.

LRM to Santo Domingo city private transfer — questions we get daily

How much is a private transfer from LRM to Santo Domingo city?
$110 Standard or $180 VIP, one-way, per vehicle for 1–6 passengers, taxes included. The same rate covers Zona Colonial, the Malecón, Piantini and Naco.
How long is the drive?
About 1 hour 45 to 2 hours. The highway part is predictable; the last twenty minutes into the city depend on the hour you arrive.
Is this different from the LRM to SDQ page?
Only in the drop. SDQ is the airport at Boca Chica for a connecting flight; this page ends at an address inside the capital. Price and vehicle are the same.
Can the car reach my Zona Colonial hotel?
Usually to the door, sometimes to the nearest corner where stopping is legal. The driver walks your luggage the rest of the way.
Do you drive back to La Romana as well?
Yes. Book both legs together and the return leg is 5% off. Night returns cost the same as daytime.
