When we recommend leaving Higüey

Three hours before the flight is our standard here. The drive is 45 to 60 minutes in daylight and a little longer before dawn, when the unlit stretches are driven slower. Add the terminal — a small one-hall airport where a charter wave fills the security line — and three hours is comfortable rather than generous. If you are leaving from a family home on a street the driver has not used before, we call the evening before to confirm the exact corner.

How the Higüey pickup runs

Resort gate and lobby pickup

The driver comes to the door of the address you give us and calls from the last junction if the street is hard to find. For the Basilica or the bus terminal we wait at the main car park.

Tell us the case count with the booking. Families travelling with boxes and gifts are common on this run, and the right vehicle makes the difference between one trip and two.
